Each term we hold a Brunch & Discuss forum for our school data protection representatives. The objective is to inform delegates of any regulatory changes and provide up to the minute topical news.

At this forum we spoke about the risks of sending bulk emails and the ICO viewpoint. We had a guest speaker, Peter Yee from The Mossbourne Federation who gave us a great insight into the effects of a cyber attack and what the considerations for school are. Our
School MIS Operations Lead, Sat Singh gave some interesting insight into Artificial Intelligence and showed a short video.

Tom Alexander, our Head of HR and Payroll discussed data protection considerations when dealing with Employee Relations and our DPO team covered other topics including the use of WhatsApp and the ICO guidance on training.
